Mazda Dashboard Warning Lights Guide

If you have a warning light illuminated on your dashboard, you will want to address the issue it is indicating. However, not everyone is familiar with what they mean or where to begin.
If you see a red oil can light, that generally means that your vehicle has detected a drastic change in oil pressure. Most of the time, this can be taken care of with a quick and simple oil change. If the light persists, you may need a new pressure sensor.
An exclamation point inside of a circle usually points to an issue being detected in your vehicle’s braking system. This could be something as simple as being low on brake fluid, or as complex as an issue in your anti-lock brake system.
The Check Engine light can come on for various reasons. When it does, a code is sent to and stored in your vehicle’s main computer. Your best course of action at this point is to bring it into our Mazda service center here at Kiefer Mazda in Eugene, OR and let one of our qualified service techs check the code and diagnose the problem for you.
