Midsize options include the CX-70 and the CX-70 Plug-in-Hybrid, offering more space and capability, while the full-size CX-90 and CX-90 Plug-in-Hybrid provide maximum seating and cargo space. All U.S. Mazda SUVs now come standard with i-Activ all-wheel drive.

2026 Mazda CX-30 SUV

Compact SUVs give you a higher driving position and plenty of cargo space while still being easy to park and good on gas. The 2026 CX-30 starts at $25,975, and the CX-5 starts at $29,050, making them affordable options for young families and sporty singles.

2026 Mazda CX-30: Subcompact Crossover

The CX-30 is 173 inches long and 70.7 inches wide and provides 20.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, expanding to 45.2 cubic feet with the seats folded. 2026 updates include a brake-based limited-slip differential and an updated suspension. You can choose from the standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 191 horsepower or the turbocharged 2.5-liter generating 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque.

The base engine has an EPA-estimated 27 mpg combined, while the turbo engine achieves 25 mpg combined. The CX-30 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 8.1 seconds, while the turbo engine has a 0- to 60-mph sprint time of 6.2 seconds.

The entry-level trim features an 8.8-inch center display, while the Preferred and higher trims get a 10.25-inch screen. The New Aire Editions have gloss black badges and white leatherette seats, and the Premium trim adds a heated steering wheel and a 360-degree camera.

2026 Mazda CX-5: Bestselling Compact

The Mazda CX-5 has been proving its success since 2012, with over 1.6 million sales in the U.S. and 4.5 million globally. The redesigned 2026 CX-5 is 4.5 inches longer with a 0.5-inch wider wheelbase, measuring 180.1 inches long and 72.6 inches wide. Cargo space totals 30.8 cubic feet behind the rear seats, expanding to 59.6 cubic feet with the seats folded.

The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine produces 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The available turbocharged engine produces 320 lb-ft of torque.

The new available 15.6-inch touch screen features Google built-in, Maps, and the Gemini AI assistant. Mazda has replaced the rotary controls with a touch interface and added seven-color ambient lighting, which creates a luxury atmosphere.

Versatility Meets Space

Midsize Mazda SUVs are perfect for growing families who require more room but don’t need a three-row vehicle just yet. The extra legroom, cargo space, and towing capacity make them perfect for Oregon’s outdoor lifestyle. The CX-50 targets adventure lovers with its off-road features, while the CX-70 leans toward luxury and comfort. Both vehicles offer Mazda’s fun driving dynamics and practical capability.

2026 Mazda CX-50: Adventure-Ready Two-Row

At 185.8 inches long and 72.5 inches wide, the CX-50 is longer, lower, and wider than the CX-5 and features squared-off wheel arches and black body cladding. The 2026 CX-50 includes Mazda Intelligent Drive Select with Normal, Sport, Off-Road, and available Towing modes on the 2.5 Turbo models.

The Meridian Edition, new for 2026, comes with 18-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, black roof rails, and black half-leatherette seats. The hybrid uses Toyota-sourced tech in its 2.5-liter engine and three electric motors. It generates 219 horsepower, achieving an EPA-estimated 38 mpg combined and a 551-mile range.

2026 Mazda CX-70: Premium Two-Row

The CX-70 debuted in 2025 as a luxury midsize SUV. It uses the CX-90’s platform but dedicates more space to second-row passengers and cargo instead of a third row. This creates 39.4 inches of rear legroom.

Standard features include leather seats in black or greige, heated front and back seats, an eight-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support, and a 12.3-inch display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 3.3-liter inline-six turbo engine produces 280 horsepower, while the high-output 3.3-liter turbo generates 340 horsepower. The plug-in hybrid features a 2.5-liter engine and a 68 kW motor that generates 323 horsepower. It has an all-electric range of 30 miles and a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.

Maximum Seating and Cargo

The biggest Mazda SUVs are for families who prefer lots of passenger space and cargo room. Full-sized SUVs typically have three rows of seats, accommodating six to eight passengers with flexible seating options such as captain’s chairs or bench seats. If you’ve got teens, multiple car seats, or regular carpool duty, that extra space and flexible seating make life easier.

2026 Mazda CX-90: Three-Row Flagship

The CX-90 tops Mazda’s lineup at 201.6 inches long and 77.6 inches wide. Its cargo space ranges from 14.9 cubic feet behind the third row to 75.3 cubic feet with all seats folded. The 2026 3.3 Turbo Premium Sport features blacked-out trim, a 5,000-pound towing capacity, and a Bose 12-speaker audio system supporting Amazon Alexa integration.

The 3.3-liter turbo inline-six produces 280 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque in the standard models or 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque in the S versions. The 340-horsepower CX-90 S Premium Plus accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds.

2026 Mazda CX-90: Plug-In Hybrid

The CX-90 Plug-in Hybrid’s powertrain produces 323 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a 68 kW electric motor. It has an EPA-estimated all-electric range of 27 miles and sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds.

Styling includes 21-inch wheels, a bar-type or honeycomb mesh front grille with a black finish, and power-folding auto-dimming mirrors. Premium Plus models include memory settings for the steering, mirrors, and seats. All trims include a full-color center display with multifunction commander control.
